Dr Shani Amarasinghe
I am a postdoctoral research fellow in bioinformatics at WEHI. My research mainly focuses on single-cell technologies and long-read data analysis techniques to find answers to biomedical research questions and develop algorithms to help researchers find answers to such questions.
I joined WISPP to get in touch with passionate people with a similar mindset. I believe in gender equality when it comes to academia. I am very privileged to be a part of WISPP and provide my contribution to empower all genders to be equally successful in science.
