Dr Sarah Londrigan
My research investigates the pathways that respiratory viruses including influenza use to infect host cells. I want to understand how airway immune cells control viral replication to prevent severe infection. I am also looking at why particular respiratory viruses are highly pathogenic, leading to very severe disease.
A career in science is rewarding but challenging. I joined WiSPP to influence change and deliver tangible improvements for women to succeed. I am particularly interested in strengthening the leadership capabilities of senior scientists within the WiSPP community to ensure they champion the next generation of female leaders in science.
