Women Who Code Workshop

Where can tech tools take your research? Do you have a lot of data to manage and are struggling with cut/paste in EXCEL? Do you aspire to create beautiful visualisations of your data?

Come along to a workshop hosted by WISPP and Research Platforms Services from The University of Melbourne to get a taste of tech tools and learn how they can transform your work. 5 experts will give 5 minute blitz talks on Matlab, Python, 3D-printing, LaTex and D3. We will delve a little deeper into coding with R to show the utility of this tool and tempt to you sign up for our Women Who Code R workshop held at the VCCC on 21st and 23rd of August.

What can you do with these tools? - - handle big data - use code to analyse/display/manage data – print equipment for your experiments and bypass expensive companies - be smart with your documents - display data interactively. Research Platforms services provides full training to master all these tools free of charge and you will have the opportunity to sign up and/or talk to the experts after the session.

This event is open to all staff and PhD students of all genders .
