Dr Marie Greyer
I am the coordinator of a joint PhD program between Melbourne University and the University of Bonn in Germany. I oversee many of the program policies and procedures between both institutions. In my previous role as the Doherty PhD Programs Officer, I established a program to promote professional development and scientific independence in form of workshops and seminars to prepare graduate researchers for various career pathways in academia and beyond.
WiSPP initiatives closely align with my background and interests. I believe it is important to provide equal opportunities for everyone in science, and to support our research staff and students to be the best they can be. WiSPP provides access to opportunities that many scientists may not be aware of or could otherwise participate in. I am hopeful that my experience will support WiSPP and further enrich the program for the many fantastic research staff and students within the Parkville Precinct.
