I work on a form of programmed cell death called ‘necroptosis’ – where cells in our bodies literally swell and burst open. Cells normally die this way to defend our bodies against invading viruses and bacteria – but too much necroptosis can lead to tissue damage and disease.
I am very proud of the considerable efforts of WiSPP and my own institute to work towards gender equity. WiSPP has given me the opportunity to meet and work with passionate, selfless and inspiring people across the Parkville precinct and beyond.
