The Magnificent ‘Seven’: Innovation and Creativity in Medical Research.
These days innovation and creativity are front and centre in the Ideas grant scheme – even the most seasoned researchers grapple with it. What makes your idea memorable at a dinner table conversation?
We will start by asking ‘What is innovation?’ more broadly and then hone into what it means for your particular field. For this it is crucial to articulate how the project will innovate by Pushing Boundaries / Crossing Thresholds / Opening Opportunities / Opening Doors. Is it through your method, question or application?
We will then test which parts of your proposal are memorable and brainstorm, using designerly techniques, how to make your grant idea interesting and innovative using language and story line.
